Living a frugal life is always at the forefront of my mind. I frequently scan the supermarket ads, shop at thrift stores, and visit sites like Hyroo.com. If you've ever been on Woot then you'll get the idea of what Hyroo is all about, yet it's so much better in some ways. For one, the website isn't a busy mess, and it's very user friendly.
The way the deals work on Hyroo.com is someone from the general public can submit a deal they found online. Then registered users get to vote on how good (or bad) the deal is. Although the site is relatively new, it's already growing by leaps and bounds. And why wouldn't it? It's a place for people to get involved, share their best found deals, and save some money. What could be better?
For example, before Christmas I was looking for an 8GB memory card that I could use for my Creative Zen player. I like putting audio books on the memory cards and prefer not to take up space on the player itself. Right now on Hyroo someone posted a great deal for a Kingston 8GB memory card and it's less than $13. Another deal on there is a 23.6" LCD monitor for only $160, which is a good markdown from the original $219!
You can search for deals in specific categories and find out what's new. Be sure to sign up for their emails so you can be the first to know about their newest deals. I'm bookmarking Hyroo.com now and visiting often!
